New Year Chills and Thrills
Tuesday, December 29th, 2009NIGHTIME EXPERIENCES YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS!
Blackpool’s award-winning Supernatural Events is returning to some of Blackpool and the North West’s most haunted locations this winter for more chilling, and thrilling, ghost tours and investigations!
There will be four overnight investigations in the latest series of events along with ghost walks, tours and a coach trip to one of England’s scariest locations!
The January Jitters start on Friday 8th with an overnight investigation at the Spanish Hall Suite in Blackpool’s Winter Gardens. Experience for yourself some of the paranormal phenomena that has been felt, heard and seen by many in the beautiful, but scary, rooms! Tuesday 12th sees a return to the original Blackpool Illuminations Depot. This location was due to be demolished earlier this year however, a stay of execution has given Supernatural Events an opportunity to bring its tours back to the location that Derek Acorah said was “most definitely haunted and an exciting location for ghost tours” when he visited with his television show Ghost Towns. 2009 saw the ghost tours extend to Blackburn with a visit to Thwaites Empire Theatre; a second tour is being held at this small but beautiful theatre on Wednesday 20th January. On Monday 25th join the ghost tour at Blackpool’s Opera House when you have the opportunity to investigate areas of the theatre the general public would not normally get a chance to see!
Get the February Frighteners with a ghost tour of the beautiful by day, but “dark” by night Empress Ballroom and Pavilion Theatre at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on Tuesday 2nd or why not enjoy(!) an overnight investigation at the original site of Blackpool’s municipal aerodrome – Blackpool Zoo. Ian Lawman from LivingTV’s Living with the Dead said, “Blackpool Zoo is an amazing location; for those interested in the paranormal, go experience for yourself!”
March Madness might set in if you choose to take part in a ghost tour at the Spanish Hall Suite, Blackpool Winter Gardens on Monday 1st. There are also two overnight investigations held this month; with a return to Supernatural Events’ spiritual home, The Grand Theatre on Friday 12th and the Blackpool Opera House on Friday 26th. Both locations have had many reports of strange occurrences taking place and are sure to sell out quickly!
Paranormal Preview – Awesome April
All aboard! The Ghost Coach is taking to the road again on Friday 9th April with a visit to Morecambe Winter Gardens. The coach leaves the Grand Theatre, Blackpool at 6.30pm for seven hours of paranormal investigations into the reported hauntings of this Victorian theatre. As well as using paranormal investigative equipment such as thermometers, EMF meters, dowsing rods, crystals there will be a psychic medium in attendance. The theatre has been featured on many television shows such as Most Haunted – now you have the opportunity of getting up close and personal with the ghosts of the Winter Gardens for yourself – if you dare!

Supernatural Events is pleased to announce that January 2010 will see a return to one of the most popular locations in Blackpool - the Illuminations Depot; as seen on Derek Acorah’s Ghost Towns.
Friday 13th November saw the first ever Ghost Tour take place at the beautiful Thwaites Empire Theatre in Blackburn. And what an evening it was! Those who attended had some amazing experiences and we look forward to returning to this beautiful theatre again in January 2010. Thank you to Harriet Roberts (CEO) for allowing Supernatural Events to bring its tours to the theatre, to the Friends who met us when we arrived, and Chris and Lee who looked after us throughout the evening. December sees two Overnight Investigations taking place at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre; Friday 11th and Saturday 19th, both start at 11pm and you will have the opportunity to go behind the scenes of this beautiful Victorian theatre and find out what happens when the doors are locked and the lights turned off! Supernatural Events is proud to bring you Grand Ghost Coach Trips. Throughout the year, we organise tours to some of the most haunted locations in the North West. Past tours have taken groups to Derby Gaol, Pendle Hill, Lancaster and Samlesbury Hall.
We will be departing from Blackpool’s Grand Theatre at 3.30pm by luxury coach to travel to our first stop, the haunted Derby Gaol. After a tour of the Gaol, we will then enjoy(!) a ghost walk of some of the most haunted of areas within Derby’s Friargate area to learn about its ghosts, murders, executions and hauntings (calling in at a pub or two en route, to learn of their hauntings and maybe a little light liquid refreshment?). We finish our evening at the famous Mr Grundy’s for evening supper and to learn of (and investigate) the hauntings at the hotel when you will get the chance to go into the cellar and maybe a bedroom or two where paranormal activity is said to take place. We depart from Mr Grundy’s at 11pm for our return to Blackpool, arriving at approximately 2.00am.
