November 2009 - news bulletin…

The Ghost Coach will be departing from Blackpool to take its passengers to another (in)famous haunted location on Friday 9th April… MORECAMBE WINTER GARDENS. To book your place (limited in numbers) and for further details, click HERE.

Supernatural Events is pleased to announce that January 2010 will see a return to one of the most popular locations in Blackpool - the Illuminations Depot; as seen on Derek Acorah’s Ghost Towns.

The depot was due to be demolished in 2009, however there have been some delays and we can again return to investigate the hauntings in the new year. For further information, click HERE.

Friday 13th November saw the first ever Ghost Tour take place at the beautiful Thwaites Empire Theatre in Blackburn. And what an evening it was! Those who attended had some amazing experiences and we look forward to returning to this beautiful theatre again in January 2010. Thank you to Harriet Roberts (CEO) for allowing Supernatural Events to bring its tours to the theatre, to the Friends who met us when we arrived, and Chris and Lee who looked after us throughout the evening. December sees two Overnight Investigations taking place at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre; Friday 11th and Saturday 19th, both start at 11pm and you will have the opportunity to go behind the scenes of this beautiful Victorian theatre and find out what happens when the doors are locked and the lights turned off! SpookFest 2009 - Blackpool’s first Hallween Festival is now, sadly, over. The week-long festival began on Sunday 25th October with two paranormal-based workshops held by Para Projects, the team behind the Unexplained Channel’s Spook School.

With ghost tours at Blackpool Zoo, Spanish Hall Suite, North Pier Theatre, the Grand Theatre and an overnight investigation at Blackpool Opera House, there were plenty of “spooky” things to do!

Also during the week were the Terror Trail, a free event for families, an evening of mediumship and the delightfully devilish double presentation Terrifying Tales and a Victorian Spirit Séance. If you managed to get seats or places on these events we hoped you enjoyed them.

Ghost Tours are returning to Lytham’s Lowther Pavilion later this year.

In 2008 there were four tours held at this small and intimate theatre set in the beautiful surroundings of Lowther Gardens. You will have the opportunity to investigate the stage, under stage, auditorium and green room areas and you might even get to tour the Gardens area too!
